Microphone Cake

I made this cake for my sweet niece who wanted an American Idol, music-themed microphone cake! She chose the colors for the microphone all by herself! The cake was fudge marble with buttercream frosting...I added music note cupcakes, a black fondant cord, and some flair to make her feel like the superstar she is!!

Isabelle's Pink Electric Guitar!!

My daughter is a big music fan, so I made this for her 5th birthday! I hand drew a template by using online pics of guitars. The neck was made with graham crackers, the string was fishing line, the frets were foil-covered toothpicks, the dots were mini-M&M's, the buttons were foil-covered Rolo candies. Of course, it wouldn't have been complete without music note cupcakes!!
